David Praet Earns Director Promotion
TROY, MICH. – Jan. 2, 2018 – Middle-market investment bank Doeren Mayhew Capital Advisors recently announced the promotion of David Praet to director.
Praet possesses 10 years of investment banking, consulting, and corporate finance experience obtained with the investment bank and its affiliate Doeren Mayhew, a CPA and advisory firm. He was part of the original team chosen to join the investment bank, which was spun off from Doeren Mayhew in 2014. Since joining the investment bank, he has focused on mergers and acquisitions including buy-side and sell-side advisory, divestitures, debt and equity capital raising, and recapitalizations for the investment bank’s clients.
His transaction experience includes representing private and public companies in domestic and international transactions involving a number of industries, such as industrial manufacturing, automotive, transportation, distribution, financial institutions and business services.
Prior to joining Doeren Mayhew Capital Advisors, Praet worked in its affiliate’s corporate finance group providing merger and acquisition advisory, business valuation services and transaction advisory services, including financial due diligence for private equity funds and middle-market private companies.

Praet graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in both finance and international business, and minoring in psychology. He also holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Detroit Mercy. He is a registered representative, holding his Series 63 and 79 licenses.
